The Most Popular Autogate Designs at DELUX Showrooms, Plus the New Japandi Series
Wondering which gates Malaysian homeowners love most right now? Here are the four most popular series in DELUX showrooms, plus the newest addition, the Japandi Series:
- Shape Series (for example, Grono)
- X Series (for example, X8)
- Lino Series (for example, GN)
- Aurora (LED)
- Japandi Series, the newest
Every design below comes on the same fully aluminium trackless system, and each series can be matched with a DELUX security door. Below, we explain what makes each one stand out, and how to choose the right one for your home.
Key Takeaways
- Shape Series, Grono: a circular, three-dimensional cut-out in the centre, balancing privacy and openness.
- X Series, X8: slim 1-inch by 1-inch bars cover the frame, so you cannot see in from the side but can see out from the front, with a designer feel.
- Lino Series, GN: understated lines with antique bronze metal accents, like the entrance of a luxury boutique.
- Aurora: built-in RGB LED lighting you control from your phone, in any colour.
- Japandi Series: soft, light colours such as pink, teal and beige, which are rarely seen on autogates.
- Gates and security doors can be matched, and more than half of DELUX customers choose both.

- FAQs
1. Shape Series (for example, Grono)
The Shape Series is a full range that includes Grono, Sharpener, Starry and more. Its most popular model, Grono, has understated lines with a circular, three-dimensional cut-out in the centre as its feature. The spacing of the bars lets you see out without the entrance feeling closed off. Grono is available with LED.
2. X Series (for example, X8)
The X Series includes the X8, X33 and X21. The X8 lays many slim 1-inch by 1-inch bars across the face of the gate, so the frame itself disappears from view. From the side it is solid and you cannot see in; from the front you can see out. It has a quiet, luxurious designer feel that suits almost any home.
3. Lino Series (for example, GN)
The GN models in the Lino Series, such as the GN101 and GN202, share Grono’s understated lines but without the circular cut-out. Instead, antique bronze metal accents give them a refined, high-end look, like the entrance of a luxury boutique, without the flashiness of gold. The Lino Series is a long range, and some models include LED.
4. Aurora (LED)
Aurora is the LED series. Its built-in RGB lighting is controlled from your phone, so you can choose any colour you like. Set it to move with your music, or keep it to one fixed colour, so your entrance becomes a feature after dark.
Getting the Most from Aurora’s Lighting
Because the colour is set from your phone, Aurora can change with the occasion: red and gold for Chinese New Year, green for Hari Raya, bright festive colours for Deepavali, and red and green for Christmas. Switch on a warm welcome light when guests arrive, or let the lights move with the music when you are hosting a party.
5. Newest: Japandi Series
Where warmth begins, the heart finds its home.
In our busy, fast-paced lives, we all long to return to a place where we can let go of our tiredness and feel gently embraced: a place we call home. That is how the Japandi Series came to life.
Inspired by Japandi style, it blends the calm of Japanese design with the warmth of Nordic living. Soft wood textures bring natural comfort, subtle gold accents add understated elegance, and the new Warm Clay tone fills the space with warmth, balance and calm.
A circle has no beginning or end, just like the bond between family: seamless and forever connected.
For colour, Japandi comes in soft, light tones such as pink, teal and beige. These colours are rarely seen on autogates, and this is the first time DELUX has offered them. The Japandi Series does not include LED.
Styling Your Home Around Japandi
Japandi sits best with light walls, natural wood elements and green plants. Together, they create an entrance that feels warm and welcoming, and lets the soft gate colour stand out without overpowering the house.

More Than Looks: Every Design Sits on the Same Tested System
A design can be copied. What sits behind it is harder to match. Whichever series you choose, every DELUX gate is built on the same system:
- Fully aluminium, using 6063-T5 aluminium.
- Trackless design, with no track on the ground.
- The patented D-Trinology system, including a turning point arm lock.
- Adjustable hinges, with a Malaysia Book of Records load of 4,588 kg.
- German robotic welding technology for the frames.
- Tested to 50,000 open-and-close cycles.
- A 10-year powder coating warranty, and up to 5 years’ warranty on the motor.
Gates That Look the Same: Six Things to Check
If you see a gate that looks similar to one of these designs, ask:
- Is it fully aluminium?
- What grade of aluminium is used?
- Does it have a patented locking system?
- How many years does the coating warranty cover?
- How many years does the motor warranty cover?
- Is there a showroom you can visit, and after-sales service across Malaysia?
How to Choose
Choose by the look of your home: your wall colours, the lines of the building, your fencing and your surroundings. For a step-by-step guide, see our article on modern gate designs and how to match one to your home.
Matching Your Gate and Security Door
These series are also available as security doors, so your gate and front door can be matched in the same colour and style. More than half of DELUX customers choose both. Bin doors, fencing, electrical box doors and water meter doors can also be done to match, for a fully finished entrance.
